The difference he made to veterans in Scotland

Created by Combat Stress 6 months ago

Captain Owen Light worked for what is now Combat Stress, back when it was known as the Ex-Services Mental Welfare Society.

In his roles as Chief Executive North and Secretary to the Northern Committee, he was closely involved in developing the support available for veterans in Scotland in the 1980s through acquiring premises for residential treatment and respite.

Here are a few items from that time, including for the official opening of Hollybush House, relating to his work.

We are so grateful for the work of Captain Light and his help in enabling Scottish veterans to more easily receive the care and support they so needed.

It's the kindness and dedication of people like Captain Light that helps us provide support for veterans.
